For the past 10 months I have moved, remodeled, started a new garden...and wore myself out. I have not spent enough time doing many things and I have spent way too much time on other things. So here I am at my blog and I just realized I have not posted anything here since March. Shame on me. I will try to do better friends. My facebook and twitter have suffered too. And my Etsy shop some.
On a new day note I am posting some pictures of things in my new garden. Enjoy...until I post again.
I am a lover of all things old. Rusty things, vintage things, broken old things, found things, thrift store buys, anything I remember from my childhood, and things I saw at my Gran's house when I was little. I love using them in old ways as they were intended or sometimes new altered and mosaic ways, as long as they are not thrown away. I am a country living and loving woman. I love Jesus, my husband, my kids, my grandkids, my family, my dogs, my cats and my chickens, ducks, and rabbit. Gardening is my summer love and long summer days in the yard under the shade tree with my sisters and the breeze blowing. Ahhhh. Life is good.

Dreaming of Spring
Yesterday was warmer here and I actually got to get outside. We had strong storms in the morning but sunny skies later. Since we are now moved into the other house on the farm I have lots of plans for it and mostly right now for the yard. I will be moving alot of my gardens from the other yard to down here. My daughter and her family now live in our old house and she is not a gardener. I don't know how that happened. She loves the way my gardens look but she wants no part in it. I laughed and told her she must not be mine. She thinks I work too much. Anyway my longing for all out spring got me to looking at some pictures from last spring so in the spirit of spring dreaming I decided to post some for everybody. I hope you all are dreaming of spring with me. Have a happy day.

Goodbye Old Dog
How do you mend a broken heart? Time. It is the only way. I have a broken heart. Yesterday my sister's old 12 year old boxer dog died. He may have been hers but we live on the same farm only a little ways apart and I think he was my dog too. He came by my house every morning and stood looking in my front door and waited for his "cookie" dog treat. Sometimes I didn't see him at first, but my dogs always let me know he had arrived. I loved him. We all did. There is a whole farm neighborhood here that is hurting.
But there is no way around it. Our pets will never live as long as we do. We can only enjoy them for awhile. They bring SO much joy and love into our lives everyday and then they are gone. But I would not trade one day of knowing them because their love is so unconditional. They love us no matter what. I think Jesus made our dogs that way on purpose. He knew that's what we needed from them. A companion who loved us always and no matter what.
Thank you Jesus for the pleasure of knowing such a sweet gentle old dog. It was a blessing.

Happy 2012
Happy New Year to everybody. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the new year. All is quiet on my home front. It has been cold here and as you know I am not a winter person so I have been huddled inside next to the heat. I recently discovered Pinterest and so far it has taken up some of my time. I just see so many things on there that are such great ideas. I thought that after Christmas I should take time to get a little more organized...but...so far...well you know I had good intentions. lol...Anyway...
Until next time
Jesus loves you.

PS: left just one picture to think of summer, lol

Merry Christmas
I just wanted to pop in to tell everybody Merry Christmas before it gets any more crazy. It has been a hectic year and I plan on working on this blog big time after the first of the year. Big plans are brewing. Oh, and I am now on pinterest too, so come on ever there too. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday filled with love.
I am adding a few pictures of things I am working on which I have on Etsy, but I will see you all in a new way after the new year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Cooler Weather
Can you feel fall in the air yet? OK so I am not ready to give summer up completely but I do feel it in the cool morning air. So to remind myself that I am not giving it up I decided to post a few of my summer garden pictures. Happy Gardens to you all.
Impatiens fill an old washtub.
Another old washtub with hosta and yes they will survive the winter like this.
Early summer rust and decor in the garden. I LOVE RUST.
